Abstract:

Reel 1: Negative microfilm.
Copy by Father Garcés, Jan. 3, 1777, of official diary reporting on his journey from Tubac to California with Anza and Font. Added at the end: an estimate of numbers of Indians, their location, and note whether friendly or hostile; a report on presidios; plans for subduing the Apaches and furthering the missions, particularly in California.
Reel 2: Negative microfilm. Contemporary copy of the same diary, by Miguel Valero Olea, Aug. 4, 1785.
